Democratic Party candidate Barack Obama won the U.S. general elections on Tuesday after grabbing at least 297 electoral votes needed to capture the White House, U.S. media said.

根據(jù)美國各大電視網(wǎng)公布的初步統(tǒng)計(jì)結(jié)果顯示，美國民主黨總統(tǒng)候選人、伊利諾伊州國會參議員貝拉克·奧巴馬在４日舉行的總統(tǒng)選舉中擊敗共和黨對手、亞利桑那州國會參議員麥凱恩，當(dāng)選第５６屆美國總統(tǒng)已成定局。

Projections conducted so far showed that his Republican rival John McCain collected only 145 electoral votes. 270 electoral votes are needed for a candidate to win the U.S. presidency.

據(jù)初步統(tǒng)計(jì)結(jié)果，奧巴馬已獲得２９７張選舉人票，超過當(dāng)選總統(tǒng)所需的２７０張選舉人票。麥凱恩目前獲得１４５張選舉人票。
