The streamer flies among apricots in the breeze;

Brimming water wide spread,

水溶溶，

Fallen petals dye the shore red.

揚(yáng)殘紅。

A boat athwart the ferry, the willow trees

野渡舟橫，

Cast shadows deep green.

楊柳綠陰濃。

I gaze southward on far-flung mountains high,

夢(mèng)斷江南山色遠(yuǎn)，

My love cannot be seen,

人不見(jiàn)，

But grass spreads to the sky.

草連空。

At sunset the mist veiled her bower,

夕陽(yáng)樓外晚煙籠，

Her rosy face sweet like a flower,

粉香融，

With eyebrows penciled like a hill.

淡眉峰。

I remember still

記得年時(shí)，

That year before the painted screen we met with smiles.

相見(jiàn)畫(huà)屏中。

But now over the mountain pass tonight,

只有關(guān)山今夜月，

Severed for miles and miles,

千里外，

We share only the same moonlight.
