Parliamentary Elections in Thailand
Thailand: The ruling Democrat Party has accepted defeat in the parliamentary elections. Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai says the people wanted political change. Early unofficial results show the party of businessman Tocksin Shanavatra winning a major victory(1). Opinion studies show the Thai Wok Thai Party winning as many as 230 parliamentary seats.
