標(biāo)準(zhǔn)結(jié)尾寫法
故名意思,也就是自然而然的結(jié)束,不再進(jìn)一步進(jìn)行贅述。例如一段關(guān)于Fishing的結(jié)尾如是寫道:
I caught as many as twenty fish in two hours, but my brother caught more. Tired from fishing, we lay down on the river bank,bathing in the sun. We returned home very late.
強(qiáng)調(diào)觀點(diǎn)寫法
用反問的形式結(jié)尾,往往能夠起到強(qiáng)調(diào)觀點(diǎn)的作用,雖然看似問句,實(shí)則為肯定,更能起到發(fā)人深思的意境。例如一篇表述對(duì)于青少年做家務(wù)觀點(diǎn)的文章結(jié)尾:
Should we learn to do some housework? I think everyone should. Don't you aGREe, boys and girls?
重復(fù)觀點(diǎn)寫法
在文章的結(jié)尾如果感到無話可說,又意猶未盡,不妨采用呼應(yīng)首段的做法。這樣不僅可以將文章稍作總結(jié),而且再一次明確主題,甚至升華主題,不失為畫龍點(diǎn)睛之筆。比如這篇描述難忘之人的文章結(jié)尾:
After her death, I felt as if something were missing in my life. I was sad over her passing away,but I knew she would not have had any regrets at having given her life for the benefit of the people.
修辭結(jié)尾寫法
這種結(jié)尾的方式對(duì)于中國學(xué)生來說并不常見,因?yàn)樾枰\(yùn)用到比喻等含蓄的修辭方式,雖然沒有直接表明觀點(diǎn),但卻能夠帶領(lǐng)讀者去思考。
Evening came before we realized. We put down our sickles and looked at each other. Our clothes were wet with sweat,But on every face there was a smile.
鼓勵(lì)式寫法
在結(jié)尾處對(duì)未來進(jìn)行展望,并激勵(lì)讀者。例如一篇關(guān)于Sports的文章結(jié)尾處這樣描寫:
As we have said above, sports can be of great value. They not only make people live happily but also help people to learn virtues and do their work better. A sound mind is in a sound body. Let’s go in for sports.
其實(shí)GRE的作文結(jié)尾不應(yīng)該拘泥于統(tǒng)一的形式,而是要根據(jù)主題靈活創(chuàng)造。如果是記敘文可以用自然結(jié)尾,但如果是議論文或說明文,則反復(fù)強(qiáng)調(diào)主題的效果會(huì)更好。此外,在寫GRE文章時(shí),不要忘記注意文章整體結(jié)構(gòu)的完整性。
