留學(xué)文書(shū)寫(xiě)作范例－廣告學(xué)（個(gè)人陳述）

    After the transfer, he was quick in catching up with his fellow students in academic learning, and soon revealed his strength in the study of advertisement and the professors all praised him highly.     本篇P.S.除了擁有一篇優(yōu)秀的P.S.所應(yīng)擁有的所有要素外，其最成功之處就在于開(kāi)頭的"創(chuàng)意"和結(jié)尾處的"呼應(yīng)"。該生申請(qǐng)的是廣告學(xué)專業(yè)。眾所周知，廣告人的價(jià)值就在于創(chuàng)意。然則，嘉文博譯?所要追求的效果并非只是突出其客戶專業(yè)上的素質(zhì)，而是將其專業(yè)素質(zhì)與其人生追求融為一體。第一段既要"標(biāo)新立異"，又要借機(jī)"明志"。請(qǐng)看譯文：

    本篇P.S.的結(jié)尾是我深夜十一點(diǎn)在高速公路上驅(qū)車回家的路上構(gòu)思的。這一構(gòu)思當(dāng)時(shí)令我十分興奮。到家后迅速打筆記本電腦，寫(xiě)下了以下這段文字（譯文）：

    “現(xiàn)在，我既已為自己勾勒出了我的行動(dòng)方向，我便行將踏上我的人生征程，從人生的這端邁向另一端。還是讓我回到我關(guān)于D字母的那個(gè)隱喻吧。我已決定放棄那不費(fèi)吹灰之力的直線而選擇那優(yōu)美的曲線。因?yàn)槲蚁嘈牛刂@條曲線，無(wú)論有怎樣的坎坷曲折，它終將將我引向我已設(shè)定的理想。這其中所固的深刻真諦早就被詩(shī)人Robert Frost在其The Road Not Taken一詩(shī)中賦予了最富詩(shī)意的表述：‘兩條蹊徑在林中分忿延伸，而我--/我則選擇了不常有人行走的那條/ 而正是這一點(diǎn)產(chǎn)生了全然不同之結(jié)果。’”

    顯而易見(jiàn)，此結(jié)尾又是一箭雙雕，甚至是一箭三雕的。一是呼應(yīng)，二是通過(guò)引用美國(guó)讀者最喜愛(ài)的本國(guó)詩(shī)人的詩(shī)句來(lái)間接反映出P.S.主人公的人文修養(yǎng)及對(duì)美國(guó)文學(xué)乃至文化的涉獵，體現(xiàn)其作為未來(lái)廣告專業(yè)人士的綜合素質(zhì)。
