Ace 拿到成績(jī)(A)
I Studied hard for the test and aced my math test with a high score of 99!
我為了這次的考試拼命用功，數(shù)學(xué)考試拿到超級(jí)高的分?jǐn)?shù)99分!
Fail 搞砸、考試失利
I Failed my math test.I only scored a 50 on it
我的數(shù)學(xué)考試沒(méi)過(guò)，只拿了50分。
Don't fail the job. it's the best chance you'll ever get.
別把這個(gè)工作搞砸，這是你所能得到的最佳機(jī)會(huì)。
I haven't done anything in my life. I am such a failure.
我一生一事無(wú)成，真是個(gè)失敗的人。
fail是搞砸的意思，也是動(dòng)詞，而failure是名詞，就是錯(cuò)誤，或是用來(lái)形容人，就是失敗者的意思。
Flunk 留級(jí)、不及格
I took my math class twice because I flunked my final exam.
我修了兩次同樣的數(shù)學(xué)課，因?yàn)槲移谀?不及格
He flunked 6th grade and had take classes again.
他六年級(jí)留級(jí)了，必須重新修課。
smarty 聰明的人
smart arse自以為聰明的家伙
He's such a smarty. He always aces his tests.
他真是聰明的人，考試總能過(guò)關(guān)。
Don't be such a smart arse. you aren't that bright!!
別自以為聰明，你才沒(méi)那么厲害?。?br /> smarty是形容詞smart（聰明）加上y，當(dāng)成名詞使用，是相當(dāng)口語(yǔ)的用法。而smart arse
就有諷刺的意思了，聰明的屁股到底聰不聰明呢？再怎么聰明也好不到那兒去吧！
Suck=stink 遜
I suck at basketball. I can never make my shots.
我打籃球遜斃了，從沒(méi)進(jìn)過(guò)一球。
When it comes to big games. he just stinks because he gets nervous
每次遇上大的球賽他總是表現(xiàn)的很遜，因?yàn)樗芫o張。
Rip Off 占便宜（錢(qián)）、過(guò)高（而不實(shí)）的價(jià)格
Give me back my 3 dollars. why are you trying to rip me off!!
還我３塊錢(qián)，你干么要占我便宜！
The 100 dollar jacket is such a rip off.
這件１００元的夾克根本不值得這個(gè)價(jià)錢(qián)，它太貴了！
Stutter　說(shuō)話結(jié)巴
I always Stutter on my words when I get nervous
當(dāng)我感到緊張時(shí)，我說(shuō)話總是結(jié)巴。
His boyfriend started stuttering when she asked him about the affair.
她的男朋友開(kāi)始結(jié)巴起來(lái)，當(dāng)她問(wèn)起外遇的事情。
Chit Chat　聊天
She's such an energetic girl and likes to chit chat with everyone
她真是個(gè)精力充沛的女孩，喜歡跟每個(gè)人聊天。
ill 生病、感到不適、正點(diǎn)
Sara was feeling ill and dizzy after the car crash.
車(chē)禍后莎拉生病而且覺(jué)得頭昏。
That move was ill!
那部電影真是正點(diǎn)！
Dorpped on tongue 說(shuō)話不清楚、諷刺剛出生時(shí)舌頭受損不太會(huì)說(shuō)話
As a child he was dorpped on his tongue. and that is why he can't seem to communicate with everyone else
這小孩還不太會(huì)說(shuō)話，因此他看來(lái)不太能和其它人溝通。
Break it off　中止（打架或混亂的戰(zhàn)斗）
The police broke off the fight outside of the nightclub.
警察中止了俱樂(lè)部外的打斗。
Knock it off 別吵了、別鬧了、中止（小鬼們）的胡鬧
Peter told john to knock if off when he kept on punching him on him arm.
彼得叫約翰停止胡鬧，當(dāng)他猛捶彼得的手臂時(shí)。
