The Night's King might be the biggest threat on HBO's "Game of Thrones" TV series, but his presence on the show doesn't mean he's the same Night's King referenced in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series.

《權(quán)力的游戲》中，來(lái)自北境的異鬼之王一直都是劇中的最大威脅，但是在劇中出現(xiàn)的異鬼之王未必就是George R.R Martin原著《冰與火之歌》中馬丁大叔想象的一樣。

The author took to the comments section of his LiveJournal blog to set the record straight about whether the Night's King mentioned in the novels and the White Walker leader who's made two appearances on "Game of Thrones" are one and the same.

原著作者明確的在自己的LiveJournal博客中直白指出，在小說(shuō)中提到的異鬼之王和現(xiàn)在劇中出現(xiàn)了兩次的那個(gè)就是一個(gè)。

"In the books he is a legendary figure, akin to Lann the Clever and Brandon the Builder, and no more likely to have survived to the present day than they have," he writes.

“在書(shū)里，他就是個(gè)一直處在傳說(shuō)中的角色，只有筑成者布蘭等見(jiàn)過(guò)他，而其他見(jiàn)過(guò)他的人都全部死掉了，”他在博客中寫(xiě)到。

For years "A Song of Ice and Fire" fans have speculated about who the Night's King in the books could be.

《冰與火之歌》的粉絲們多年來(lái)一直在爭(zhēng)論，到底誰(shuí)才是異鬼之王，不過(guò)作者的這個(gè)說(shuō)法并沒(méi)有打消大家之前的各種揣測(cè)。
