賴世雄英語書信通Unit 40：告知友人旅游函

Dear Joyce,

I got back to Bangkok a few days ago. I was very happy to find two letters from you waiting for me at the post office. My two weeks in India were exciting. Among other things, I saw the Taj Mahal. It is really as beautiful as everyone says.

To answer a few of your questions, I usually stay in cheap hotels which are listed in my guidebook. Most of them cost under US$10 a night. The food is great. In Thailand and India they have a lot of spicy food, which I like, and in Nepal they have lots of really cheap Western-style restaurants for travelers. The people in all the three places are friendly. Of course, not everyone speaks English, but people who deal with tourists a lot speak at least a little.

All the places I’ve visited are very interesting, but if I had to pick one, I’d say Katmandu is the most interesting. I’ve taken a lot of photos, so you can see for yourself what these places are like when I get back.

我?guī)滋烨盎氐铰?。非常高興郵局里有兩封你寄給我的信。在印度的兩個星期很令人興奮。除了眾多的行程外，我尚參觀了泰姬瑪哈陵。它真的就如大家所說的一樣美。

回答一些你的問題，我通常住在旅游指南上所列的廉價旅館。它們大部分一個晚上索價都低于美金十元。吃得很棒。在泰國和印度有很多我喜歡的辛辣食物，在尼泊爾則有廉價的西式餐廳供旅客享用。這三個國家的人民都很友善。當(dāng)然并非人人都會說英語，不過常與觀光客相處的人至少會說一些。

所有我參觀過的地方都非常有趣，但如果要選一個，我覺得加德滿都最令我感興趣。我已經(jīng)拍了很多相片，所以我回去后你就可以親自看到這些地方像什么樣子了。
