"That's a man who, 25 years ago, screamed racial slurs at me in a drunken tirade," Navarro said. "He called me an arrow-thrower, an Indian — I guess because I'm a Nicaraguan and he's a white Cuban."

Diaz de la Portilla, alongside attorney William W. Riley Jr., was arrested on multiple corruption charges on Thursday, including "one count of money laundering, three counts of unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior, one count of bribery, and one count of criminal conspiracy," the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said in a press release.
