　　有人告訴我說(shuō)我的朋友Joe說(shuō)我的壞話，這可真令我寒心。

　　B: I don’t think Joe has done such a thing. Don’tbelieve things in haste.

　　第一、地道表達(dá)

　　【核心短語(yǔ)】a let-down

　　【解詞釋義】let-down是由let down這個(gè)詞組變化而來(lái)的。這個(gè)詞組的意義豐富，其中有一個(gè)意思是指“在患難中，在緊急關(guān)頭拋棄他人，出賣(mài)朋友，這種行為肯定會(huì)使人失望、寒心不已”。因此，該習(xí)語(yǔ)引申為“讓人失望”。
