　　up to one’s ears

　　1. 解詞釋義

　　此語的字面意思是“和我的耳朵成一條直線了”，老美說這句話時，還會加上動作，用手在耳朵旁劃一條直線，引申為“吃飽了”。表示一個人吃飽了：還可有以下的說法：I am stuffed./I am full./I am up to my throat. 這個短語還可以表示“很忙”。
