　　當(dāng)對(duì)方免費(fèi)給你好處的時(shí)候，英美人會(huì)反問(wèn)：“What is the catch?”這其中的catch是名詞，意思是“詭計(jì)，潛在的困難或不利因素”。例如：The house is very cheap. There must be a catch somewhere.(這所房子非常便宜，這里面一定有蹊蹺。)“What is the catch?”譯為“有什么詭計(jì)?”也可翻譯為“有什么內(nèi)幕?”或“你這是什么意思?”

　　Ps 1: 表示“有職位空缺”，可以用下面的句型：There is a vacancy for sb.例如：

　　I would like to know if there is a vacancy for the sales manager in your hotel.

　　我想知道你們酒店缺銷售部經(jīng)理嘛。

　　Ps 2：apply for的意思是“申請(qǐng)......”。例如：

　　She graduated with high enough marks to apply for university.

　　她的畢業(yè)成績(jī)足以申請(qǐng)上大學(xué)。

　　You can apply for citizenship after five years' residency.

　　居住五年后可申請(qǐng)公民資格。
