1. 解詞釋義
At one’s wits中的wit是指“領(lǐng)悟力，智力，理解力”。此語的字面意思是“處在某人智力的末端”，也就說某人“智窮計(jì)盡，沒有辦法”了。表示對(duì)某事或某人束手無策，拿某人或某事沒有辦法了，在段語的后面用介詞“with”，即：at one’s wits with sb. /sth.
