　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Burn down的原意是“火力減弱，漸漸燒盡”，后來引申指讓某人蒙羞或者是滅滅(某人的威風從而不讓他那么囂張。其英文解釋為：為to humiliate someone。

　　要點解析：這是一個含有定語從句的復合句。主句是That has ruined many people，從句是who werebeing greatly envied。先行詞是people，表示人，它在從句中充當主語，所以引導詞用who，也可以用that。
