1.L: Hi, Monica, how are you doing today?
早,Monica,今天感覺怎樣?
How are you doing?
你好嗎?
英語中常見的打招呼用語,如:
-How are you doing?
-I'm doing good.
Doing在這里不是“做什么”的意思,good 這個形容詞也被當(dāng)作副詞用,美國人平常就這么說,相當(dāng)于熟人見面時說:“你怎么樣?”“挺好的。”
類似的問好方式還有:
-How's everything going?
-Howdy!
-What's up?
幾句話都相當(dāng)于“你怎么樣?”“你好嗎?”但如果細(xì)究,第一句似問對方最近一切是否順利;第二句據(jù)說是從How do ye?這句19世紀(jì)初的問候語簡化而來;而第三句則側(cè)重問對方那里有沒有新聞,但實際就是打招呼。
