一句話總結(jié)：除了ought常以ought to形式出現(xiàn)后加動(dòng)詞原形外，其他情態(tài)動(dòng)詞都直接加動(dòng)詞原形。

在表示“能夠，可以”時(shí)，可根據(jù)以下從弱到強(qiáng)的順序記憶:

might as well最好…還是→might或許→may可能→could能夠→can能夠

1.‘The play may begin at any moment,' I said.‘It may have begun already,' Susananswered.

“戲馬上就要開演了，”我說(shuō)。“說(shuō)不定已經(jīng)開演了呢”蘇姍回答說(shuō)。

語(yǔ)言點(diǎn) 比較學(xué)習(xí)：

must be (可能性大)：He must be a teacher. 他很可能是一名教師。

2.‘I hurried to the ticket-office.'May I have two tickets please ?' I asked.

當(dāng)回答某人的催促時(shí)，通常這樣說(shuō)：

3.‘I'm sorry, we've sold out,' the girl said.

“真對(duì)不起，我們的票已經(jīng)賣完了。”那個(gè)女孩回答。

更經(jīng)典的表達(dá)：

It’s better not to do anything wrong than to say you’re sorry one hundred times.說(shuō)一百遍對(duì)不起不如不要做錯(cuò)事。/ Forgive and forget! 原諒他人，不要記仇!/ Saying you are sorry doesn’t meananything without action.如果只是口頭道歉而沒(méi)有實(shí)際行動(dòng)則是一點(diǎn)意義都沒(méi)有。
