Lesson 23 A new house

I had a letter from my sister yesterday. She lives inNigeria. In her letter, she said that she would cometoEngland next year. If she comes, she will get asurprise. We are now living in a beautiful newhouse inthe country. Work on it had begunbefore my sister left. The house was completedfive months ago. In my letter, I told her that shecould stay with us. The house has many large roomsand there is a lovely garden.It is a verymodern house, so it looks strange to some people. Itmust be the only modern house in the district.
