a lot of bull 在美國是一條非常流行的罵人口語,最開始從黑幫流傳出來的,這里的bull事實上原本是bullshit,即“瞎扯,胡說”的意思,所以這條口語的正確意思是:“一派胡言,胡扯,胡說八道”。因此,當美國人說"That's a lot of bull!"時,他/她要表達的意思就是:"What you've just said is sheer nonsense!"、"Your opinion is all my eye!"、"That's sheer rubbish!"。
