B: The goods under the contract will be inspectedby the Commodity Inspection Bureau, at the port ofloading before they are shipped and the certificate ofquality and quality/weight issued by the Bureau shall be regarded as final and binding uponparties.
本合同項目下的貨物于裝船前在裝運港由商檢局進行檢驗，該局簽發(fā)的品質(zhì)和數(shù)量或重量證書為最后依據(jù)，對雙方有約束力。
A: Do you mean that you sell on shipped quality and quantity? But what about the case ofdisqualification or short weight on arrival?
這意思是說你們按離岸時品質(zhì)和數(shù)量賣貨嗎?但如果貨到后發(fā)現(xiàn)質(zhì)量不合格或短貨怎么辦?
B: I can assure you that is not likely to happen. Our goods must be up to export standardsbefore the inspection bureau releases them. And as you may know, the Commodity InspectionBureau enjoys international reputation for impartiality.
我向你保證不會發(fā)生這樣的情況，我們的貨物只有在符合出口標準后商檢局才會放行。你也許知道，此商檢局的公正全球聞名。
A: We have heard about the reputation of both CIB and your products and never doubt them.But what in case there is short weight or disqulification? Would you tell me whether the buyershave the right to reinspect the goods when goods arrive? Are we entitled to lodge claims?
對貴方產(chǎn)品及商檢局的良好信譽我們已有所聞，因此并不懷疑，但是萬一發(fā)生短重活質(zhì)量不符合怎么辦?貨物抵達后買方是否有權(quán)復(fù)查?我們是否有權(quán)提出索賠?
B: Yes, of course. You have the right of reinspection. But for this particular item, we follow theinternational practice that the reinspection should be made within 7 days upon the arrival of thegoods and if any discrepancies are found you may lodge claims with us within 30 days.
當然有權(quán)。你方有權(quán)復(fù)查，但是根據(jù)國際慣例，對該商品的復(fù)查應(yīng)在貨物抵達后7天內(nèi)進行。如有索賠，必須在30天內(nèi)提出。
