30 富蘭克林的潛水艇 Franklin'S SUBMARINE

富蘭克林有小火車，棒球手套還有很多好玩的玩具，但是富蘭克林就快有自己的“潛水艇”了，還沒有哪個小朋友有這個玩具呢。

Frankin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He had a train set ,a ball glove and lots of funny things to play with.But one day Franklin had the chance to own his very own submarine.

FRANKLIN:Get out of there. Ahhh

富蘭克林：給我出來。啊

BEAR: what are you doing Franklin?

小熊：富蘭克林，你在干什么?

FRANKLIN： Selling some of my toys.But I’d better put a warning label on this one.

富蘭克林：我在賣我的玩具。但是我最好在這上面貼上一個警告標簽。

BEAR: You ’re selling your train set? But you still have lots of fun playing with it

小熊：你要賣你的玩具火車?可是你很開心地和小火車玩啊。

FRANKLIN：I know .But I’ll have even more fun playing with this.

富蘭克林：我知道。但是我會玩的更開心.

BEAR: Wow! You’re getting a submarine?!

小熊:哇!你要買一艘潛水艇?

FRANKLIN：Uh huh. I’ve got half the money for it already. I just to sell some of my stuff to get the other half.

富蘭克林：是呀。我已有一半的錢來買它。我只需要賣出去我得一些玩具就能籌到另一半錢了。

BEAR：Gee, I don’t know anybody who has their own submarine.

小熊:呀，我還不知道有任何人擁有自己的潛水艇呢!

FRANKLIN: It’s going to be great! I will be able to go underwater with it in the pond. Maybe I’ll see some strange creatures that no one’s ever seen before. Maybe I’ll find some sunken treasure.

富蘭克林：會非常好玩的!我就要能用它在池塘里潛水了.也許我會看到一些別人從沒見過的怪物。也許我會發(fā)現(xiàn)在水底的財寶。

BEAR：That would be fantastic!

小熊:哪真是太好了

FRANKLIN：Look , it even has a periscope

BEAR：Hey! I know how you can send away for the submarine right away and keep your train set.

FRANKLIN：you do?

BEAR：Yup! I’ll pay for half

小熊: 是啊!我來付另外一半錢。

FRANKLIN：Really?

:BEAR ：Sure! We’re best friends. Submarine could belong to both of us.

小熊: 當然了!我們是最好的朋友嘛。潛水艇就能屬于我們倆了。

FRANKLIN：Okay, it’s a deal! Thanks Bear!

富蘭克林：好，一言為定!謝謝你，小熊!

BEAR：You’re welcome.

小熊: 不客氣。

FRANKLIN: I’ll even let you be the Captain!

富蘭克林：我甚至可以讓你當船長。

BEAR：This is your Captain speaking…Captain Bear. All right crew, let’s clear the deck. I want these toys back where they belong! And that’s an order!

小熊: 現(xiàn)在是你船長在講話……小熊船長。好吧，船員。把甲板清理干凈。把這些玩具放回去。這是命令!

FRANKLIN: Aye, aye, Captain!

富蘭克林：是，船長!

FRANKLIN: Honk! There is mail! Mr. Badger! Did you bring my …Awwwww…only letters again?

富蘭克林：砰!來信了!獾先生，您帶來了我的……呃……又是只有信件?

Mr. Badger：Sorry, Franklin. No submarine today.

獾先生:對 不起，富蘭克林。今天潛水艇還沒到。

FRANKLIN：But I’ve been waiting for two whole weeks.

富蘭克林：但是我已經(jīng)等了整整兩個星期了。

Mr. Badger：Well…Sometimes these things take a while. But as soon as it arrives, I’ll come directly to your house first, hmm?

獾先生: 唔……有時郵寄這種東西要費些時間。不過只要它一到，我會直接先到你這兒的，嗯?

FRANKLIN：Okay, thanks Mr. Badger.

富蘭克林：好吧，謝謝，獾先生。

Mr. Badger: Yes, This mailbag is heavy enough as it is. If I have to carry a submarine too, I’ll want to get it delivered as soon as possible

獾先生::這個郵袋已經(jīng)夠重的了。如果我還要背上一個潛水艇，我肯定想把它盡快送到你這兒的，

Mr. Badger：What are you doing Franklin?

獾先生: 你在干什么呢，富蘭克林?

FRANKLIN: Oh, hi Mr. Badger. I’m just checking out a launch site for my submarine whenever it gets here

富蘭克林：噢，嗨!獾先生。我只是在給我的潛水艇找一個下水的地點 ,不管它什么時候能到。

Mr. Badger: A Package came for you today.

獾先生::今天有你的一個郵包。

FRANKLIN：It did? Let’ s go get it! Maybe Dad can drive us to the post office. Will it fit into our car? How big is it?

富蘭克林：真的?我們一塊去拿吧。也許我爸爸能開車送我們到郵局。它能放進我們的汽車里嗎?它多大?

Mr. Badger：It’s right here.

獾先生: 它就在這兒

FRANKLIN：Huh? That’s not my submarine.

Mr. Badger：Well , whatever it is, it’s addressed to you. Goodbye Franklin…I’ve got to get back to my route

FRANKLIN：See yeah,…Thanks.

FRANKLIN：Open here. Oh, no…it can’t be.

BEAVER: Hey Franklin, do you want to go swimming?

FOX：What’s with all the cardboard?

FOX：Hey, this looks like a toilet seat lid. Errrrrr.

FRANKLIN ：That piece is the main hatch to my submarine

BEAVER: What?! No way! This is submarine you sent away for?

FOX：The one you’ve been telling us about for weeks?

FRANKLIN：I can’t believe it either.

狐貍：我也不能相信

BEAVER：It should be lots of fun…as soon as you don’t get it wet

海貍:應該會很好玩…只要你不把它弄濕!

FRANKLIN：It doesn’t look anything like the one in the picture.

富蘭克林:它一點也不象圖片上的潛水艇

BEAVER: They always make things look really good in a picture.

海貍:他們總是在圖片上把東西弄得特別棒

FOX：I don’t buy anything unless I can try it first.

狐貍:除非我能先試試，我不會買任何東西

BEAVER: You mean like those X-ray glasses, you sent away for? The ad said you’d be able to see right through walls.

海貍:你是說那些你郵購的X光眼鏡嗎?廣告上說，你能用它看透墻壁

FRANKLIN：Really? Did they work?

富蘭克林:真的嗎?真的能嗎?

FOX：Well…sort of if the wall had a window.

BEAVER：They were just sunglasses that said X-ray on them.

海貍:：它們只是一些據(jù)說上面有X光的太陽鏡

FOX: How was I supposed to know? Besides that was a long time ago

FRANKLIN：At least you didn’t spend your friends money too. How am I going to tell Bear?

富蘭克林:至少你沒有花掉你朋友的錢。我該怎么跟小熊說呢?

BEAVER:I don’t know. But if somebody talked to me into buying a cardboard submarine , I’d be pretty mad

海貍: 我不知道。不過如果有人說服我去買一個紙板做的潛水艇的話，我會氣瘋了的

FOX：I’d want my money back

狐貍:我會想要回我的錢

BEAVER：You didn’t read that this ad ,did u ,Franklin?

海貍::你沒有讀這個廣告，是嗎，富蘭克林?

FRANKLIN: Yes I did …Most of it anyway.

富蘭克林:我讀了，至少是大部分文字

BEAVER：Did you read this part?

海貍:你讀過這個部分嗎?

BEAVER :“Not for use in water.”

海貍: “不能在水中使用。”

FRANKLIN ：I know that now.

富蘭克林：現(xiàn)在我知道這個了。

BEAVER :But it also says here you can return it and get your money back，if you’re not completely satisfied.

海貍:不過這上面也說,如果你對產(chǎn)品不是完全滿意的話，可以退貨，拿回你的錢，

FRANKLIN ：I’m not completely satisfied. I’m not even satisfied a little bit

富蘭克林：我不是完全滿意。我根本一點兒都不滿意。

BEAVER :Well then ,send it back.

海貍:那好，就把它寄回去吧。

FRANKLIN ：Yeah, that’s what I will do. Thanks Beaver.

富蘭克林是啊，這正是我要做的。謝謝你，海貍。

BEAVER :Next time you two are going to buy something out of a comic book, talk to me first. X-ray glasses. Cardboard submarines. You guys are unbelievable!

海貍:下次你們倆要是想買漫畫書上推薦的東西，還是先跟我商量商量吧。X光眼鏡。紙板做的潛水艇。你們兩個家伙真是不可思議。

FRANKLIN ：And since it’s not really what I thought it was going to be, I’m returning it to get my money back Mr. Badger.

富蘭克林：因為這東西不是原本我設想的樣子，所以我準備把它退回去，拿回我的錢，獾先生。

Mr. Badger: Now let’s see. That’ll be four dollars and twenty-five cents.

獾先生讓我看看。你要交四塊兩毛五。

FRANKLIN ：What do you mean? I’m sending it back.

富蘭克林：您是什么意思?我是要把它退回去。

Mr. Badger: Yes, four dollars and twenty-five cents is the cost of postage. You know, how many stamps you’ll need

FRANKLIN ：But…we already paid almost nine dollars for it

Mr. Badger: Well they’ll send your money back when they receive the submarine.

FRANKLIN ：I already spent all my money…and Bear’s too.

富蘭克林：我已經(jīng)花掉了我所有的錢…還有小熊的錢。

Mr. Badger: I’m afraid that sometimes these money-back guarantees aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

獾先生：恐怕有時這些退款保證并不完全像他們說得那樣好。

FRANKLIN ：I should mail myself to the Arctic before Bear finds out.

BEAR: Geeee…this is weird, Franklin. Did you get that feeling like this has happened before

FRANKLIN ：It did happen before, Bear. I had a yard sale last month. remember? I’m having another one.

富蘭克林：以前確實發(fā)生過，小熊。我上月賣國一次舊玩具,記得嗎?

BEAR: Oh yeah…You were making some money to buy our submarine. Are you going to order another one so we can have underwater races?

小熊：是啊…你上次是想籌點錢買潛水艇。你是準備再買一個?好讓我們可以進行水下競賽嗎?

FRANKLIN ：Uh…No…I need the money for something else.

富蘭克林：呃…不是…我需要錢去做點別的事。

BEAR: Hey! What’s this?

小熊：嗨!這是什么?

FRANKLIN ：That?…Oh it’s something I got in the mail

富蘭克林：那個?….噢，那是我收到的東西

BEAR: Aren’t you going to open it?

小熊：難道你就不想打開看看嗎?

FRANKLIN ：Maybe tomorrow

富蘭克林：也許明天我會的

FRANKLIN ：I’m I’m pretty busy right now.

富蘭克林：我，我現(xiàn)在挺忙的。

BEAR: Aren’t you curious to know what it is

小熊：難道你就不想知道這里面是什么嗎?

FRANKLIN ：I already know what it is Bear. It’s our submarine.

富蘭克林：我已經(jīng)知道哪里面是什么了。這就是我們的潛水艇

BEAR: That’s funny. There’s really a submarine in there?

小熊：這太可笑了。里面裝的真的是我們的潛水艇嗎?

FRANKLIN ：I couldn’t believe it either…But, don’t worry, Bear, I’m sending it right back.

富蘭克林：我也不敢相信…但是，不要擔心，我會把它退回去的。

BEAR: You are?

小熊：你要這么做嗎?

FRANKLIN ：Yeah. I just have to make enough money for all the postage stamps. When they get their submarine back, we’ll get our money back.

富蘭克林：是啊，我得先有足夠的錢去買郵票。當他們收到潛水艇的時候，我們就能拿回我們的錢了。

BEAR: It sure is flat. What’s it look like? Ooops!

FRANKLIN ：That’s what it looks like

BEAR: What part of a submarine do you think this is?

BEAR: Whoa! A periscope! Hey, it works too!

FRANKLIN ：It does?

BEAR: Look!

FRANKLIN ：I can see right over your head! Too bad we can’t keep this and send the rest back.

BEAR: Maybe we should just keep the whole thing Franklin.

FRANKLIN ：What good is it? It’s only cardboard.

BEAR: Cardboard might not be so bad .We’ll be able to pick it up and move it wherever we want.

BEAR: Look. Portholes. We’ll be able to see out in any direction.

FRANKLIN ：But we can’t take it in the water.

BEAR: So. We can still have fun with it.

FRANKLIN ：Yeah…maybe you’re right Bear.

BEAR: You know what my dad always says.

FRANKLIN ：What?

BEAR: If someone sells you a bruised apple, don’t make a fuss, make applesauce.

小熊：如果有人賣給你一個碰傷了的蘋果，不必生氣,只要把它做成蘋果醬就行了。

FRANKLIN ：And what if someone sells you a cardboard submarine?

富蘭克林：如果有人賣給你一個紙板做的潛水艇呢?

BEAR:I dunno. Make applesauce anyway. It tastes great.

小熊：我不知道。還做成蘋果醬就行了。蘋果醬的味道好極了。

FRANKLIN ：Oh Bear…Come on, let’s put this things together.

富蘭克林：噢，小熊……快點!我們把潛水艇裝起來吧。

BEAR: Hey, that’ Captain Bear, remember.

小熊：嗨，這是小熊船長,記住。

BEAR:I think it’s time to explore the ocean floor.

小熊：我看現(xiàn)在該去海底探索了。

FRANKLIN ：Aye, Aye Captain

富蘭克林：是，是，船長。

BEAR: Dive! Dive! Dive!

小熊:下潛!下潛!下潛!

BEAVER:Um…Captain, shouldn’t we close the main hatch before we go under water?

海貍：呃……船長，我們在下水前是不是該關(guān)閉主舷窗?

BEAR: Hmmm … good idea. Secure the main hatch and then, Dive! Dive! Dive!

小熊：嗯……是個好主意。關(guān)好主舷窗，然后下潛!下潛!下潛!

BEAVER: Aye, Aye Captain.

海貍：是，是，船長。

BEAVER: Wow, look at the fish out there.

海貍：哇，看哪有一條魚。

FOX: And there’s an octopus!

狐貍;那是條章魚!

FRANKLIN ：I see the lost treasure! We’re right over it!

富蘭克林：我看到了失蹤的財寶!我們就在它的正上方。

BEAVER:I can get it with the mechanical arm. Ha haaaa, Gotcha!

海貍：我能用機械臂拿到財寶。啊哈!哈哈，拿到了!

BEAR: Nice work, Beaver!

小熊：干得好，海貍!

BEAVER: Wow, this is fun!

海貍;哇，真好玩兒!

FOX: Yeah, it is fun.

狐貍;是呀，真好玩!

BEAVER: This is a great submarine you guys. I’m glad you decide to keep it.

海貍：真是艘了不起的潛水艇。我真高興你們決定留下它。

FOX: Me too.

狐貍：我也是。

FOX: Yeah, hey, let me know if you ever want to trade it for some really neat X-ray glasses.

狐貍：對，嗨，如果你們想用這個潛水艇換幾副挺棒的X光眼鏡，就告訴我吧。
