第十五章 連詞 從屬連詞(5)

　　1.引起某些從句的as:

　　除了引起表示原因、時(shí)間、比較的狀語(yǔ)從句外，它還可引起從句表示下面意思：

　　l)根據(jù)…

　　As I remember, she was working in a hospital at that time.

　　根據(jù)我的記憶，她那時(shí)在一家醫(yī)院工作。

　　There is much room for improvement in our work, as I see it.

　　據(jù)我看我們的工作還大有改進(jìn)余地。

　　2)正像(她):

　　As you know, I am not much at letter writing.

　　正像你知道的，我不太會(huì)寫信。

　　Shelley, as we had seen, had met her through her uncle .

　　正如我們前面看到的，雪萊是通過(guò)她叔叔認(rèn)識(shí)她的。

　　3)像，照：

　　I did as she told me.

　　我照她的話做了。

　　He came early, as he had been asked.

　　他照我們要求的那樣來(lái)得很早。

　　4)引起表語(yǔ)從句)還是……樣子：

　　The house looks just as it did when Lu Xun lived in it.

　　這房子還是魯迅當(dāng)年在那兒住時(shí)的那個(gè)樣子。

　　Things are not always as they appear?

　　事情不一定總是它們表現(xiàn)出來(lái)那個(gè)樣子。

　　另外，as 還可引起成語(yǔ)型的連詞

　　As far as I was concerned, it was over.

　　如我所言，已經(jīng)結(jié)束了。

　　2.引起定語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)或表語(yǔ)從句的連詞：

　　l) that (沒(méi)有特殊意思):

　　All this proves that we are right.

　　這一切證明我們是對(duì)的。(賓語(yǔ)從句)

　　It's plain that he doesn t want to come.

　　很清楚他不想來(lái)。(主語(yǔ)從句)

　　Your trouble is that you are careless.

　　你的問(wèn)題是你太粗心大意。(表語(yǔ)從句)

　　I've got a feeling that were going to win.

　　我感到我們會(huì)賽贏。(同位語(yǔ)從句)

　　2) whether (if)是否：

　　I don't know whether (if) you like the idea.

　　不知你是否贊成這個(gè)想法。(賓語(yǔ)從句)

　　The point is whether we should recommend him.

　　問(wèn)題是我們應(yīng)否推薦他。(表語(yǔ)從句)
