這說明了船長在船上有很高的威信?？等麪柌唤悬c奇怪，我也嚇得發(fā)愣，我們默默等待這事的結(jié)局。

船長交叉著兩手，靠著桌子的一角，注意地觀察我們。

Was he reluctant to speak further? Did he regret those words he had just pronounced in French?

他不說話，是因為有顧慮嗎?他后悔剛才不該用法語說那些話嗎?

You would have thought so.

我們不妨這樣設(shè)想。
