Delight,top-gallant delight is to him, whoacknowledges no law or lord, but the Lord his God,and is only a patriot to heaven.

那個不認(rèn)得別的法律和主宰,只認(rèn)得主耶和華,只對上天忠誠的人,愿他愉悅,至上的愉悅。

Delight is to him, whom all the waves of the billowsof the seas of the boisterous mob can never shakefrom this sure Keel of the Ages.

那個在萬浪翻騰,波濤洶涌中永遠(yuǎn)動搖不了他那牢固的經(jīng)年的龍骨的人,愿他愉悅。

And eternal delight and deliciousness will be his, who coming to lay him down, can say withhis final breath-O Father!-chiefly known to me by Thy rod-mortal or immortal, here I die.

永恒的愉悅和歡娛將屬于他,屬于那個雖然行將結(jié)束生命,卻在彌留時分還會說這樣的話的人...

I have striven to be Thine, more than to be this world's, or mine own. Yet this is nothing:

我的父呵!首先使我認(rèn)識的是你的威力...不管是進(jìn)地獄還是永垂不朽,我這就死了。

I leave eternity to Thee; for what is man that he should live out the lifetime of his God?

我竭力想屬于你,努力的程度遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過于想屬于這個世界,遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超過于想屬于我自己。然而,這是微不足道的:我祝福你永生;一個人竟想活得比他的上帝長命,算什么人呢?
