To boil, "boil," means to make the water one of very hot until you start to see bubbles. 燒(boil)意思是讓水變得非常熱直到你開(kāi)始看見(jiàn)水泡為止。

The average temperature is 212 degrees Fahrenheit, or 100 degrees Celsius, in order to boil water. 要想燒開(kāi)水，平均溫度要達(dá)到212華氏度或100攝氏度。

Well, "when the water starts boiling" — when it starts to make bubbles because it is very hot — "I put in the pasta." 好了，“當(dāng)水燒開(kāi)了的時(shí)候”——當(dāng)它開(kāi)始起水泡的時(shí)候，因?yàn)樗臏囟确浅８?mdash;—“我把意大利面放了進(jìn)去”。

"Just then" — that expression means at that time — at that same time — "my wife opens the back door" — the door to the house in the back, the opposite would be the front door. “Just then”這個(gè)詞組的意思是“就在那時(shí)”——與此同時(shí)——“我妻子打開(kāi)了后面”——這個(gè)門是在房子的后面，與之對(duì)應(yīng)的是前門。
