背景知識

本·瓊森（Ben Jonson），英國文藝復(fù)興時期重要的劇作家、詩人和評論家。1572年6月11日生于倫敦。主要詩集有《格言詩》、《森林集》、《灌木集》等。他曾就學(xué)于古代史學(xué)者坎姆登，并在其資助下到威斯敏斯特學(xué)校讀書，獲得關(guān)于希臘、羅馬文學(xué)的豐富知識。后來，他博覽群書，成為當(dāng)時學(xué)識最淵博的劇作家之一。

這首詩中，熱戀中的情郎手端美酒，眼睛卻在尋找與情人溝通的機(jī)會。玫瑰花冠是愛情的象征，但情郎此舉不只是為了取悅情人或純粹地表達(dá)愛意，而是為了讓玫瑰花接受情人的親吻后得以“永不凋殘”，并且就如同情人的氣息般永遠(yuǎn)地保留在自己的記憶中！真可謂情之深，愛之切。詩人對情郎的心理描寫得細(xì)致入微，字里行間流露出真摯情意。
