托福詞匯之“桑拿天”

　　The heatwave that has already lasted three days is expected to ease and temperatures should fall to around 30 degrees Celsius after rainfall on Wednesday. However, the rain could continue until Saturday, leading to "sauna weather" during the second half of the week.

　　據(jù)估計，本周三(北京)將迎來降雨，持續(xù)三天的熱浪將得到緩解。但這場降雨將持續(xù)至周六，在本周后幾天將京城徹底拖入“桑拿天”。

　　文中的 sauna weathe r就是我們平時說的“桑拿天”，sauna (桑拿浴) 的感覺想必大家都知道，stiflingly hot(非常悶熱)，因此 sauna weather 就是用來形容悶熱難耐的天氣，也稱為sauna days。

　　本周一，北京市氣象臺發(fā)布了今年首個 orange-coded heat alert (高溫橙色預(yù)警)，land surface temperature(地面溫度)超過55攝氏度，power consumption (用電量)再達峰值。在這樣的“大蒸籠”里，很多人出現(xiàn)了不適癥狀，大家要謹防 heat stroke (中暑)
