“天理路廣、人欲路窄”出自《菜根譚》，《菜根譚》是元末明初道人洪應(yīng)明收集編著的一部論述修養(yǎng)、人生、處世、出世的語(yǔ)錄世集。本段大意：追求自然真理的正道非常寬廣，稍微用心追求，就感覺(jué)心胸坦蕩開(kāi)朗；追求個(gè)人欲望的邪道非常狹窄，剛一躋身于次，就發(fā)現(xiàn)眼前布滿(mǎn)了荊棘泥濘，寸步難行。

天理路上甚寬，稍游心，胸中便覺(jué)廣大宏朗；人欲路上甚窄，才寄跡，眼前俱荊棘泥涂。

The path of heavenly principles is wide. One you set your foot on this path, it takes only a bit of hard thinking for you to become fully enlightened. The path of human desire is narrow. Once you venture onto it you will see nothing but brambles and mud.（保羅·懷特 譯）
