美國習(xí)慣用語：793 fits and starts

　　我看書的時(shí)候，總是看一會兒，要干別的事兒了，就把書放下，等有時(shí)間了，再回來看，看看又放在一旁。形容這種情況，英語里有個特別合適的習(xí)慣用語，叫fits and starts。

　　Fits有陣發(fā)和突發(fā)的意思。Fits and starts這個習(xí)慣用語的意思是時(shí)斷時(shí)續(xù)的，間歇的，一陣陣的。所以說，象我這種一會兒拿起書來看，一會兒又放下，時(shí)斷時(shí)續(xù)的，就可以說是fits and starts.

　　有時(shí)候這種時(shí)斷時(shí)續(xù)也是被逼無奈，讓我們聽聽下面這個母親的故事。
