1. spoon: （床上姿勢）身體成鑰形，雙方均側身，其中一方用胸部和腹部貼緊另一方的背部。spoon也可指做親吻、愛撫等親密動作。

2. go to much/a lot of trouble to do sth.: 勞心費力做某事。影片中Margaret是在說客氣話，意思是“太麻煩你了”?？匆幌吕樱篐e must have gone to a lot of trouble to get this.（他一定是費了很大勁兒才拿到這個。）

3. come up with: 想出。例如：He could not come up with a proper answer.（他想不出一個合適的回答。）

4. sham: 騙局。Their independence was a sham. （他們的獨立是一個騙局。）sham還可以表示“虛偽，假裝”，例如：I’m a blunt straightforward man; I hate sham.（我是個耿直坦率的人，我討厭虛偽。）

5. crushed: 被壓垮，崩潰?？匆幌吕樱篠he was crushed when she heard the news.（她聽到這個消息后崩潰了。）

6. work sb. up: 鼓動，激發(fā)，使激動。He had worked himself up into a terrible state about the coming exam.（面對即將舉行的考試，他把自己弄得緊張極了。）

Work sth. up / work up sth.則有“逐步發(fā)展，逐步建立，逐步完成”的意思。請看例子：

I have worked up quite a thirst playing tennis.（我對打網(wǎng)球漸漸上了癮）。

I’m hoping to work up these notes into a book.（我希望把這些筆記整理成書。）
