讓人驚喜的“街邊偶得”

可是，被扔到垃圾箱里的不一定都是廢物。結(jié)實的書架，好看的花瓶，老舊的經(jīng)典唱片，或許都可能會出現(xiàn)在垃圾箱里。

Street score is a valuable or useful item found on the street or in the trash.

Street score指在街邊或者垃圾堆中無意發(fā)現(xiàn)的有價值或者有用的物件，謂之“街邊偶得”。

The word score is here used as a laundered version of a criminal slang term that means “goods or money obtained illegally, esp. as the result of a successful crime.”

這里的score原本是一個犯罪領(lǐng)域的俚語，指“作案成功后得來的贓物”，當然，這里是已經(jīng)“洗白”的用法。

Street score這個說法2008年的時候就有人開始用了。我們來看看具體的例子：

Street score in Brooklyn!!! It’s been a while since I’ve found a gem in the trash. But this morning I stumbled upon a super clean copy of Voodounon by Lafayette Afro Rock Band.
