他慢慢得俯下身來(lái)，那陣嘈雜的蜂鳴聲瘋狂地加速著，甚至是在他的唇吻上我之前。但是，在他的唇用最溫柔的力度壓下來(lái)時(shí)，蜂鳴聲停住了。
He pulled back abruptly, his anxious expression turning to relief as the monitor reported there starting of my heart.
他立刻退回去，一臉的擔(dān)憂，直到監(jiān)視器表明我的心臟已經(jīng)重新啟動(dòng)，他焦慮的神情才轉(zhuǎn)好。
"It seems that I'm going to have to be even more careful with you than usual." He frowned.
“看樣子，我得比平常更小心得跟你相處才行。”他皺起眉。
"I was not finished kissing you," I complained. "Don't make me come over there."
“我還沒(méi)結(jié)束和你的這個(gè)吻呢，”我抱怨著。“不要逼我在這里撲過(guò)去。”
He grinned, and bent to press his lips lightly to mine. The monitor went wild.
他咧嘴一笑，然后彎下身子輕輕地把他的唇壓上我的唇。監(jiān)視器抓狂了。
But then his lips were taut. He pulled away.
但隨后，他的唇緊繃起來(lái)。他退了回去。
"I think I hear your mother," he said, grinning again.
“我想我聽(tīng)到了你媽媽。”他說(shuō)著，又咧嘴笑了起來(lái)。
"Don't leave me," I cried, an irrational surge of panic flooding through me. I couldn't let him go he might disappear from me again.
“別離開(kāi)我。”我喊出聲來(lái)，一陣蠻不講理的洶涌的恐懼席卷了我。我不能讓他走——他會(huì)再度從我身旁消失不見(jiàn)的。
He read the terror in my eyes for a short second. "I won't," he promised solemnly, and then he smiled. "I'll take a nap."
只是短短的一秒鐘，他就讀懂了我的眼里的恐懼。“我不會(huì)的。”他嚴(yán)肅地保證道。然后，他笑了起來(lái)。“我會(huì)打個(gè)盹。”
He moved from the hard plastic chair by my side to the turquoise faux-leather recliner at the foot of my bed, leaning it all the way back, and closing his eyes. He was perfectly still.
他離開(kāi)我床邊的那張硬邦邦的塑料椅子，坐到我床腳的那張青綠色人造革躺椅上去。他完全躺了下去，閉上了眼睛。他真的一動(dòng)不動(dòng)。
"Don't forget to breathe," I whispered sarcastically. He took a deep breath, his eyes still closed.
“別忘了呼吸。”我諷刺地低聲說(shuō)道。他深吸了一口氣，依然閉著眼睛。
I could hear my mother now. She was talking to someone, maybe a nurse, and she sounded tired and upset. I wanted to jump out of the bed and run to her, to calm her, promise that everything was fine. But I wasn't in any sort of shape for jumping, so I waited impatiently.
現(xiàn)在連我都能聽(tīng)見(jiàn)我媽媽的聲音了。她正和某人說(shuō)著話，也許是個(gè)護(hù)士。她聽(tīng)起來(lái)既疲倦又擔(dān)心。我真想從床上跳起來(lái)跑到她那里，安慰她冷靜下來(lái)，向她保證一切都很好。但我現(xiàn)在的狀態(tài)根本不可能做任何形式的跳躍動(dòng)作，所以我只能安靜地等著。
The door opened a crack, and she peeked through.
門(mén)被猛地退開(kāi)了，她從門(mén)外偷看著。
