57. A Visit to No. 4 High School in Beijing 參觀北京四中

Before the Entrance Examinations to Senior High School, our teachers arranged a visit for us to the No. 4 High School in Beijing. The school made a deep impression on me.

No. 4 High School is located at the center of Beijing, and has a history of 90 years. It is one of the most well-known schools in the city with over 2,000 students and about 180 teachers. 在中考之前，老師組織我們?nèi)⒂^北京四中，這個(gè)學(xué)校給我留下深刻印象。

First, the school president showed us around. The school looks like a beautiful garden with flowers, green trees, fountains and new buildings everywhere.

北京四中位于市中心，具有90年的歷史。這是北京最著名的中學(xué)之一，有2000多學(xué)生，約180位教師。

It has only senior students, divided into three grades and 38 classes, and apparently there are more boys than girls. Then, we went to the meeting hall.

首先，校長帶我們參觀校園，整個(gè)學(xué)?？瓷先ハ褚粋€(gè)美麗的花園，到處都是鮮花、綠樹、噴泉和嶄新的樓房。

The person, who was in charge of teaching , introduced their school and courses. The teachers here are excellent and have either masters degrees or doctors degrees.

北京四中只有高中，分三個(gè)年級、38個(gè)班級，男生顯然多于女生。然后，我們來到會(huì)議廳，負(fù)責(zé)教學(xué)工作的教師給我們介紹了學(xué)校的教學(xué)和課程。

They love their students and their work. Fourteen subjects are taught in the school, including mathematics, Chinese, physics, chemistry, English, and so on. The students are excellent, too. They take special interest in their studies and work hard.

這個(gè)學(xué)校的教師隊(duì)伍是優(yōu)秀的，他們都擁有碩士或博士學(xué)位，熱愛學(xué)生和教學(xué)工作。學(xué)校共開14門課，包括數(shù)學(xué)、語文、物理、化學(xué)、英語等。四中的學(xué)生也很優(yōu)秀，他們對學(xué)習(xí)有興趣，十分努力。

The three-hour visit passed quickly. Since then, I have made up my mind that I would like to be one of the students of No. 4 High School in Beijing.

三小時(shí)的參觀很快結(jié)束，然而，從那時(shí)起，我決心爭取成為北京四中的一名學(xué)生。
